2017's "Out of the Darkness" Community Walk

The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) is the leading national not-for-profit organization exclusively dedicated to understanding and preventing suicide through research, education, and advocacy, and to reaching out to people with mental disorders and those impacted by suicide.

Out of the Darkness Community Walks collectively is AFSP's signature fundraising event that brings together friends, family, and supporters in nearly 350 communities nationwide. These walks produce millions of dollars for suicide prevention programs, unite those who have been affected by suicide, and create communities that are smarter about mental health.

Our very own, Kaylee Hoffman, is a volunteer for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention discusses the "Out of the Darkness" walk on KGET17. Watch to learn more about the walk.
